Corallĭum, 1) (Zool., Isis L., Schmuckkoralle) so v. w. Edelkoralle, s. u. Korallen. C. praeparatum, das gepulverte Kalkskelet von Isis nobilis; dient als Zusatz zu den Zahnpulvern. 2) (Petref.), fossil scheint nur eine Art dieser Gattung, C. pallidium, aufzutreten, sie findet sich in den tertiären Schichten von Turin u. ist nicht, wie die lebende Schmuckkoralle, roth gefärbt.
