Csanyi

Csanyi (spr. Tschanji), Ladisl., geb. 1790 zu Csany in Ungarn, machte die Feldzüge von 1809–1815 mit u. trat dann in den Civilstand; schloß sich 1848 der Revolution an, war erst Regierungs-, dann Landes- u. Oberregierungscommissar in Ungarn, als welcher er erst die Armee gegen Wien u. nach Pesth zurück, 1849 die Regierung nach Debreczin begleitete u. nach Siebenbürgen ging; er erhielt nach dem Abfall Ungarns von Österreich in der republikanischen Regierung im Juni 1849 das Ministerium der Communicationen, wurde bei Vilagos gefangen u. am 10. Oct. 1849 in Pesth gehängt.
