Disappointement (spr. Disapeuntment), 1) Vorgebirg in der Grafschaft Pacific des Gebietes Washington der Vereinigten Staaten von Nordamerika, an der Mündung des Columbia-River in den Stillen Ocean; 2) Insel, zur Gruppe Paumotu od. Niedrige Inseln gehörig (südöstliches Polynesien), 1765 von Byron entdeckt; 3) Insel, zur Gruppe von Santa Cruz gehörig (südwestliches Polynesien); 4) Insel, zur Auklandsgruppe gehörig, südlich von Neuseeland (südwestliches Polynesien).
