Ghurĭan, 1) Gebirgsland im nördlichen Afghanistan im Quellgebiete des Murgh-Ab u. Heri-Rud; meist rauh u. felsig, schwer zugänglich; schwach bevölkert im Westen von Eimaks, im Osten von Hazareh; die Thäler sind fruchtbar u. weidereich, daher Pferde-, Rindvieh- u. Schafzucht, Getreide, selbst Mandeln; 2) Gebirg, so v.w. Gharian.
