Globigerīna

Globigerīna (G. d'Orb., Korallenbeere), Gattung der Schnörkelkorallen, mit kugeligen Kammern, die regelmäßig spiral laufen u. unregelmäßig angeordnet sind, mit löcheriger od. haariger Oberfläche, mehrere Arten leben noch, einige sind fossil im Tertiärgebirge od. in der Kreide.
