Mangrol, 1) Stadt auf der Halbinsel Kattywar in der ostindischen Landschaft Guzerat, an der Südwestküste; 9–10,000 Ew.; besuchter Hafen, lebhafter Handel; die Stadt besitzt die schönste Moschee (erbaut 1383) auf der ganzen Halbinsel u. gehört einem mohammedanischen Häuptling, welcher sich Nawaub von M. nennt u. an den Nawaub von Joonagurh einen jährlichen Tribut von 11,000 Rupien zahlt; 2) Ort im indischen Fürstenthum Kotah, an der Straße von Calpee nach Kotah; hier am 21. Sept. 1821 Treffen zwischen Kishen-singh, dem Thronerben von Kotah, u. den Truppen des Salim-Singh, des von den Briten unterstützten Staatsministers, in welchem der Letztere siegte.
