Illusion

Illusion, (v. lat.), 1) Betrug, Täuschung der Sinne; 2) täuschende Nachahmung, bei allen Kunstwerken, deren Absicht auf Nachahmung der Natur geht, ein unerläßliches Erforderniß. Daher Illusorisch, was die Illusion befördert; täuschend.
