Lilac

Lilac, der türkische Hollunder (Syringa); daher Lilacin, von Meillet aus den Blättern u. Blattknospen der Syringa vulgaris dargestellter Stoff, krystallisirt in Büscheln seiner Nadeln, od. in vierseitigen Prismen, löst sich in Essigsäure u. Alkohol; schmeckt bitter.
