Ballerini, Pietro, geb. 7. Sept. 1698 in Verona, studirte Philosophie, widmete sich dem Lehramte u. war dann Vorsteher der Accademia delle bello lettere in Verona; seit 1748 hielt er sich als Consulent des venetianischen Gesandten längere Zeit in Rom auf u. st. 1769. Er schr.: De antiquis collectionibus et collectoribus ad Gratianum usque; De jure divino et naturali circa usuram, 1747; De potestate eccles. pontificum et conciliorum generalium, 1765; De vi ac ratione primatus pontificum, 1766; u. gab mit seinem Bruder Girolano (geb. 29. Jan. 1702 u. st. um 1775) heraus S. Zenonis sermones, 1739; Summa S. Antonii, 1740; Summa S. Raimundi de Pennaforte, 1744; u. S. Leonis Magni opera, 1757, 3 Bde.
