Pannychis (gr.), ähnlich dem Requiem, in der Griechischen Kirche ursprünglich die Vigilie, dann überhaupt die Gebete u. Chorgesänge, welche bei einem Todesfall sowohl im Hause des Verstorbenen nach dem Verscheiden, als auch am Grabe nach dem Begräbniß u. nachher am Jahrestag des Todes in der Kirche gehalten werden.
