Pear-Oil

Pear-Oil (Birnenöl), ein zuerst in England dargestelltes u. in der Parsütnerie angewendetes künstliches ätherisches Öl, welches bes. zur Aromatisirung der Pear-drops (Birnentropfen) dient. Es ist eine Verbindung des Amyloxydes mit Essigsäure u. wird dargestellt, indem man 1 Theil Kartoffelfuselöl mit 1 Theil concentrirter Schwefelsäure u. 2 Theilen essigsaurem Kali vermischt u. destillirt. Das Destillat wird mit einer sehr verdünnten Lösung von Kali gewaschen, über geschmolzenem Chlorcalcium getrocknet, mit Bleiglätte vermischt u. nochmals destillirt. Es ist eine farblose Flüssigkeit, welche einen höchst angenehmen Obstgeruch zeigt; aber erst, wenn es mit dem sechssachen [770] Volumen Weingeist verdünnt worden ist, tritt der Geruch nach Birnen deutlich hervor. Apple-Oil (Äpfelöl), ein ähnlicher Äther, welchen man in seiner weingeistigen Lösung ebenfalls in England zur Erzeugung eines höchst angenehmen Äpfelaroms benutzt, ist baldriansaures Amyloxyd. Pine-Ap ple-Oil (Ananasöl), ist buttersaures Amyloxyd, dient in England zur Aromatisirung eines limonadenähnlichen Getränkes u. wird auch in Deutschland zur Rumfabrikation benutzt. Mirbane-O il, künstliches Bittermandelöl, ist so v.w. Nitrobenzid.
