Pythodōros

Pythodōros, 1) griechischer Bildhauer aus Theben, von ungewisser Zeit, welcher jedoch im alten Styl arbeitete. Ihm zugeschrieben wurde eine Statue der Here in Koronea. 2) Athenischer Feldherr im Peloponnesischen Kriege, folgte 425 v. Chr. dem Laches im Commando auf Sicilien, wo er aber wenig Geschick bewies, u. da sich die Athener vor den Feinden aus Sicilien zurückziehen mußten, wurde P. in Athen angeklagt u. exilirt.
