Quirītes

Quirītes, der Ehrenname der Römer, womit sie als Waffen Führende bezeichnet wurden, aber im Gegensatz zu Soldaten, da sie die Waffen auch im Frieden tragen durften. Nach der Aufnahme einem Colonie Sabiner unter T. Tatius hießen beide Po[772] pulus romanus Quiritium od. P. r. Quirites. Daher Jus Quiritium, das römische Bürgerrecht für die in Rom, wofür die in den Colonien u. Municipien das Jus Q. privatum erhielten.
