Rocking-Stones (Logan rock, Schwebender Fels), ein Haufwerk granitischer Blöcke, bei Trereen unsern Land's End in Cornwall, welches auf einer sehr kleinen Unterlage ruht, sodaß, obgleich seine Schwere auf über 70,000 Centner geschätzt wird, eine kräftige Manneshand diese Felsmasse in schwankende Bewegung bringen kann. Die [217] Sage bezeichnet die R. als Wunderwerk von den Druiden durch magische Kunst hervorgebracht. Ähnliche Erscheinungen trifft man auf der Luisenburg bei Wunsiedel in Oberfranken u. auf der westindischen Insel Spanish Town (die große Jungfrau).
