Meningĕae arterĭae

Meningĕae arterĭae (v. gr. Meninx, Hirnhaut), Gehirnhautarterien. Meningītis, Entzündung von Häuten, bes. Gehirnhautentzündung, oft gleichbedeutend mit Gehirnentzündung. Meningophylax, Werkzeug der ältern Chirurgen, bei Trepanationen die harte Hirnhaut niederzudrücken. Meningorrhöe, Blutaustretung zwischen der Hirnhaut.
