Senten

Senten (Rehen), auf dem Schiffe schwache, biegsame Latten, welche die Biegung der Seiten bestimmen u. zu dem Ende auf die Innhölzer od. Spante genagelt werden. Von diesen Latten befindet sich die Herzsente in der Linie der größten Weite des Schiffs; die Flehrsente aber liegt auf dem Vor- u. Hintersteven in der Höhe der Schneidungen, wo das Schiff über dem Kiel am engsten ist; andere Zwischensenten nehmen den Raum zwischen ihnen ein. Noch höher aufwärts finden sich die Toppsenten u. ganz zu oberst die S. der Verzierung.
