Slooten, Stadt am Slooter Meer, durch die Ee ablaufend, im Bezirk Sneek der niederländischen Provinz Friesland, verfallende Festungswerke; 4000 Ew.; Ausfuhr von friesischem Torf. In der Nähe das Dorf Wykel mit dem Grabmal des Ingenieur Coehorn.
