Titular, 1) auf Titel sich beziehend. Daher Titularbuch, so v.w. Adreßbuch. Titularfest, die jährliche kirchliche Feier einer Bruderschaft am Gedächtnißtage des Heiligen od. Geheimnisses, dessen Titel sie trägt; 2) dem bloßen Titel od. Namen nach; daher Titularbischöfe, Bischöfe, welche keine Diöcesen haben, aber wirkliche Bischöfe sind, s.u. Bischof 1) B).
