Translocation

Translocation (v. lat.), 1) Ortsveränderung, Versetzung; bes. 2) Versetzung aus einer Schulklasse in die andere; geschieht gewöhnlich nach größern Prüfungen zu Ostern u. Michaelis od. jährlich. 3) Versetzung eines Pfründners auf eine andere geistliche Pfründe. Diese geht vom Bischof aus u. geschieht a) entweder durch Wahl, od. Postulation, od. Präsentation, od. Ernennung mit seiner Einwilligung; b) T. im engern Sinne, unwillkürliche Versetzung, d.i. die Versetzung wider den Willen des Pfründners, zur Strafe od. sonst aus einem rechtlichen Grunde, z.B. wegen Streitigkeiten zwischen Pfarrer u. Gemeinde etc., wobei zuweilen Versetzung auf eine Pönitenzpfarre vorkommt. Daher Translociren. Vgl. Pfründe.
