Mucīn

Mucīn, 1) nach Saussure ein Bestandtheil des rohen Klebers; man erhält es, indem man den rohen Kleber mit Alkohol auskocht, aus der alkoholischen Lösung den Pflanzenleim fällt u. die wässerige Flüssigkeit verdunstet; 2) so v.w. Diastase; 3) Bestandtheil des thierischen Schleims, so v.w. Schleimstoff, s.u. Schleim.
