Barabbas

Barabbas, jüdischer Räuber u. Aufrührer, saß zu Jerusalem gefangen. Als an dem Passahfeste, an welchem Jesus von den Juden vor das Gericht gestellt wurde, der Procurator Pontius Pilatus dem Volke B. od. Jesum zur Wahl darstellte, welchen von beiden sie freigegeben haben wollten, so wählte das Volk den B.
