Malvenda, Thomas, geb. 1566 zu Xativa in Spanien, wurde 1582 Dominicaner u. 1585 Lehrer der Philosophie, dann der Theologie in Lombay; 1600–10 war er in Rom wissenschaftlich beschäftigt, dann, nach Spanien zurückgekehrt, wurde er Mitglied der Commission zur Entwerfung des Codex librorum prohibitorum u. lebte zuletzt in Valencia, wo er 1628 starb. Er schr.: De antichristo, Rom 1604 u. ö.; De paradiso voluptatis, ebd. 1605; Anmerkungen zu La Bigne' s Bibliotheca Patrum. Rom 1607; Vida de S.
