Fund, 1) s.u. Fundd iebstahl; 2) (Fundpunkt, Bergb.), ein Ort im Felde, wo ein Erzgang zuerst entblößt wird u. Kübel u. Seil eingeworfen werden. Der Finder hat bei dem Muthen das Vorrecht vor anderen (Fundrecht), die Fundgrube sich bestätigen zu lassen, daß dieselbe ihm, wenn ein Anderer Muthung einlegt, angeboten werden muß; das um den F. befindliche Feld heißt Fundgrude. Der F. wird vermessen, d.h. 42 (60 od. 28) Lachter auf jeder Seite des F-es abgesteckt. Entsteht über den F. Streit, so muß der Fundeid abgelegt (F. beschworen) werden, d.h. der ältere Finder muß in Gegenwart der Berggerichte u., indem er den Zeige- u. Mittelfinger auf den Rundbaum des Fundschachtes legt, eidlich erhärten, daß er selbst der wahre Finder sei. F. entblößen, eine entdeckte Grube mit Arbeitern belegen.
