Giants Causeway (spr. Dscheient Kaoswuch, d.i. Riesendamm), eine große Anzahl abgebrochen scheinender Basaltsäulen, die sich an der Nordküste der Grafschaft Antrim (irische Provinz Ulster), in einer Höhe von 40 Fuß u. einer Breite von 60–100 Fuß, einem Damm ähnlich, über 200 Fuß weit ins Meer hineinerstrecken, u. einen kräftigen Schutz gegen die andrängenden Wogen bilden.
