Kallistos, Andronikos, gelehrter Grieche des 15. Jahrh., aus Thessalonich, ging nach Italien, wo er anfänglich in Rom durch Bessarion eine günstige Aufnahme fand, später in Florenz u. Ferrara lehrte (er war unter andern der Lehrer des Lorenzo von Medici), u. von wo er später nach Paris übersiedelte, er st. hier 1478. Er war Aristoteliker u. schrieb über die Physik, die Glückseligkeit, u. andere Schriften.
