Pelletan (spr. Pelletang), 1) Philipp Jean, geb. 1747 in Paris, war erst Chirurgien en chef am Hôtel-Dieu in Paris, dann Professor der chirurgischen Klinik der Facultät, 1815 Professor der operativen Medicin u. 1818 der Geburtshülfe; er st. 1829 u. schr. u.a.: Clinique chirurgicale, Par. 1810, 3 Bde.; 2) Pierre, Sohn des Vorigen, geb. in Paris, war erst Militärchirurg, dann Arzt an mehren Hospitälern, auch Leibarzt des Königs u. lehrte zugleich Naturwissenschaften an der Ecole de médecine; 1831 wurde er Professor der medicinischen Physik, 1843 quiescirt u. st. 1845 in Brüssel. Er schr. u.a.: Diction. de chimie, Par. 1821–1824, 2 Bde.; Traité élém. de physique gén., 3) A. 1837 f., 2 Bde.
