Radom, 1) russisches Gouvernement des Königreichs Polen, ist ein Theil des ehemaligen Kleinpolen, umfaßt bei einem Flächengehalte von 454,5 QM. die beiden früheren Gouvernements Sandomir u. Krakau, zählt nahe 1 Mill. Ew. u. zerfällt in 8 Kreise; 2) Kreis des Gouvernements, hat 135,000 Ew.; 3) Hauptstadt des Kreises u. des Gouvernements, liegt an der Moczna, ist der Sitz des Gouverneurs, hat 3 Kirchen, einige Klöster, ein Piaristencollegium mit Gymnasium, mehre Fabriken u. Handel; 11,006 Ew.; 4) ehemaliges Departement im Großherzogthum Warschau.
