West-Canada (Britisches Nordamerika) zwischen dem Huron See u. dem Ontario See gelegen, steht mit ersterem durch den Severn River u. die Georgian Bay, mit letzterem durch den Shallow See, den Rice See u. den Trent River in Verbindung; ebenso fleht er durch die Thorah-Kingston Bahn u. die Collingwood-Toronto Bahn mit beiden Seen in Verbindung; 2) District in Ober Canada, im Norden an die Georgian Bai des Huron Sees grenzend; Hauptort: Barrie; 3) Hauptort des Districts Talbot in Ober Canada; Districtsschule; 2000 Ew.
