Mihr, Sohn des Ormuzd, von den Armeniern als Feuergott verehrt, der auch die Helden im Kriege beschützte u. den Tapfern Sieg verlieh. Er hatte Tempel unter andern in Armawir u. Pakarat. Ihm wurde zu Anfange des Frühlings ein Fest unter Opfer u. Gebet des Volkes gefeiert (Mihirgan). Das Fest wird noch am Tage Mariä Reinigung gefeiert.
