Millman (spr. Millmän), Henry Hart., geb. 1791 in London, Sohn des Arztes Sir Francis M., wurde 1817 Vicar zu St. Mary in Reading, 1821 Professor der Poesie in Oxford 1849 u. Dechant an der Paulskirche in London. Er schr. die Trauerspiele Fazio (1817), Fall of Jerusalem (1820), Belshazzar, The martyr of Antiochia, Anna Boleyn; das erzählende Gedicht Samor u. die Geschichtswerke: Hist. of the Jews, Hist. of Christianity (bis Constantin dem Großen), History of Christianity to the extinction of paganism, Lond. 1853, 3 Bde.; History of Christianity down to the Reformation, ebd. 1853, 4 Bde.; History of Latin Christianity, ebd. 1854 ff.
