Switzerland, 1) die englische Bezeichnung der Schweiz; 2) die südöstlichste Grafschaft des Staates Indiana (Nordamerika), 10 QM.; im Süden u. Osten an den Staat Kentucky grenzend, von diesem durch den Ohio River getrennt, hügelig; Producte: Mais, Weizen, Hafer; wurde zuerst 1802 von Schweizern angebaut u. 1814 als Grafschaft organisirt; 1850: 15,932 Ew.; Hauptstadt: Vevay.
