Tremellĭus, Emanuel, geb. in Ferrara zu Anfang des 16. Jahrb. von jüdischen Eltern; ging zur Protestantischen Kirche über, wurde Professor der Hebräischen Sprache in Heidelberg u. nachher in Sedan, wo er 1580 starb; er übersetzte das syrische Neue u. Alte Testament ins Lateinische, Genf 1559, u. schrieb auch chaldäische u. syrische Grammatik, Genf 1569.
