Virginĭa, der 54. der Planetoiden (Asteroiden), zwischen Mars u. Jupiter; am 4. October 1857 von Ferguson in Washington im Bilde der Fische entdeckt. Sein Gouldsches Zeichen ist Virginĭa [4]. Seine siderische Umlaufszeit beträgt 4 Jahr 113 Tage u. 9 Stunden; seine mittlere Entfernung von der Sonne 54,7 Mill. Meilen, die Excentrität seiner Bahn 0,287, die Neigung seiner Bahn 2° 48'.
