Nansemond, Grafschaft im Staate Virginia (Nordamerika), 18 QM., an den Dismal Swamp grenzend, vom Nansemond River durchflossen; große Waldungen; Producte: Bataten u. Mais; die Portsmuth-Roanoke Eisenbahn durchschneidet die Grafschaft; 1850: 12,283 Ew., worunter 4715 Sklaven; Hauptort: Suffolk. N. hieß früher Upper-Norsolk u. erhielt erst 1645 den jetzigen Namen.
