Bistones (Bistŏnes, a. Geogr.), thracisches Volk zwischen dem Rhodopegebirg u. Ägäischen Meere. Hier die Stadt Bistonĭa (jetzt Bistogna), gegründet von Biston, Sohn des Ares u. der Kalirrhoë u. Stammhelden der B., u. der fischreiche See Bisiŏnis (jetzt Lagos Buru) mit Abflusse ins Agäische Meer.
