Bungay, Stadt in der englischen Grafschaft Suffolk, an der Waveney u. der London-Yarmouth Eisenbahn; 1688 größtentheils niedergebrannt, aber gut wieder aufgebaut, 2 Kirchen, Rathhaus, Theater, Free grammar school, Malzhäuser, Ruinen eines Benedictinerinnenklosters; Getreide-, Mehl- u. Kohlenhandel, 4000 Ew. In der Nähe einige Mineralquellen.
