Baumwolle, aber von Thieren nur Ziegen; salzige Quellen, 2 gute Rheden von 4–13 Faden Tiefe; hat 24 QM. im Umfang u. 8000 Ew. Die Portugiesen landeten auf ihren Entdeckungsreisen hier zuerst 1450.
