Evectĭon

Evectĭon (v. lat.), 1) das Emporsteigen, Erbebung; 2) (Astron.), die große Störungsgleichung des Mondes, erzeugt durch die Sonne. Zur Zeit der Syzygien (s.d.) mischt sich die E. (die gleich dem Winkel von 1°16′ 20 bis 28″, multiplicirt mit dem Sinus der doppelten Winkeldistanz des Mondes von der Sonne, weniger der Winkeldistanz des Mondes von seinem Perigeum, ist) mit der Gleichung der elliptischen Bahn. Ptolemäus entdeckte sie 130 n. Chr. Die Excentricität od., was dasselbe ist, die Gleichung des Mittelpunktes der Mondesbahn erscheint am größten, wenn die Apsiden in die Syzygien fallen, u. am kleinsten, wenn die Apsidenmit den Quadraturen zusammentreffen. Dieses ist die eigentliche Erklärung der E., die von den Alten nicht entdeckt u. berechnet werden konnte, da sie den Mond nur in seinen Syzygien beobachteten, wo allein sich die Finsternisse ereignen; 3) kaiserlicher Erlaubnißschein bei den Römern, daß irgend ein Privatmann sich der zum Dienste des Kaisers bestimmten öffentlichen Pferde zum Reisen bedienen durfte, vgl.
