Ferozpore, 1) District im britischen Cis-Sutledschgebiete in Ostindien, in Sirhind, mit gegen 17,000 Ew.; 2) Hauptstadt des Districts, eine Stunde vom linken Ufer des Sutledsch; 6000 Ew.; großes Fort, christliche Kirche; britischer Waffenplatz für jene Theile Indiens; die Stadt wurde von Feroz Toghluk gegründet; 3) Stadt im District Goorgaon der nordwestlichsten Provinzen, an der Straße von Delhi nach Alwar, befestigt; 8000 Ew.; Bazar, Eisenindustrie, bis 1836 Hauptort eines Lehnfürstenthums (Jaghir).
