Hoplophŏrus

Hoplophŏrus (H. Lund.), fossiles Säugthier aus der Ordn. der Edentata (Zahnlose), war etwa von der Größe eines Ochsen, ähnlich dem Megatherium, mit verkürzten Füßen u. panzerartiger Bedeckung wie Glyptodon; einige Arten finden sich in Brasilien.
