Parentalĭa

Parentalĭa (lat.), 1) was Eltern, auch Anverwandten, nach ihrem Tode zu Ehren od. zum Andenken geschieht, z.B. Todtenopfer, Leichenbegängniß, Todtenfest; 2) so v.w. Feralia, s.u. Februus. Daher Parentation, Rede am Grabe od. im Hause des Verstorbenen.
