Polānus

Polānus (eigentlich v. Polansdorf), Amandus, geb. 1561 in Oppeln, studirte in Tübingen Philosophie u. Theologie, lebte dann in Basel, Genf, Heidelberg u. einige Jahre unter den Böhmischen Brüdern in Mähren; er wurde 1596 Professor der alttestamentlichen Exegese in Basel u. st. hier 1610; er schr.: Erklärungen des Maleachi (1597), Daniel (1599), Hosea (1601), Ezechiel (1607); dann De aeterna Dei praedestinatione, 1600; Pactitiones theol., 1600; Institutiones de concionum sacrarum methodo, 1604; Syntagma theologiae christ., 1612; Symphonia catholica, 1607; Theses Bellarminio oppositae, 1613 u.a.
