Puigblanch

Puigblanch, Antonio, geb. 1773 in Mataro in Catalonien, war Professor in Alcala de Henares; er wurde seines Freisinns halber unter Ferdinand verfolgt u. ließ sich in England nieder; nachher zeichnete er sich, unter der Constitution. von der Provinz Catalonien zum Cortesdeputirten gewählt, als Radicalreformer aus u. suchte nach dem Umsturze der Freiheit nochmals in England Zuflucht, wo er sich dem Studium der Spanischen Literatur widmete u. 1840 starb. Er ist bes. berühmt durch[683] sein Werk: Die entlarvte Inquisition (deutsch Weimar 1817).
