Sénarmont (spr. Senarmong), Sohn des französischen Artilleriegenerals S. (welcher wesentlichen Einfluß auf die Entscheidung des Sieges bei Friedland hatte u. vor Cadiz blieb), geb. 1808 in Broué. wurde 1848 Professor der Mineralogie an der Montanistischen Schule in Paris, 1852 Mitglied der Akademie u.st. 30. Juni 1862; er beschäftigte sich bes. mit der Untersuchung über die Polarisation des Lichtes u. sonstige physikalische Eigenschaften der Krystalle.
