Ware (spr. Uëhr), 1) Marktflecken in der englischen Grafschaft Hertfordshire, am Lea u. New River u. an der Eisenbahn von London nach Hertford; Malzhandel nach London; 4800 Ew.; 2) Grafschaft im Staate Georgia (Nordamerika), 75 QM.; an Florida grenzend, vom Santillac River u. Hurricane Creek durchflossen, im südöstlichen Theile der Okefonokee Swamp; Producte: Mais, Bataten, Südfrüchte. 1850: 3888 Ew., worunter 288 Sklaven; Hauptort: Waresborough; 3) Postort in der Grafschaft Hampshire des Staates Massachusetts, am Ware River; Bank, malerische Umgegend, 4000 Ew.; 4) W. River, Fluß im Staate Massachusetts, entspringt in der Grafschaft Worcester u. fällt in der Grafschaft Hampden in den Connecticut River.
