Dryŏpes, Urvolk von Hellas, aus Arkadien gekommen, am Parnaß, dann in Doris (welches deshalb Dryŏpis hieß), wohnend; von den Doriern aus ihren Sitzen geworfen, verloren sie sich unter den Siegern od. in andere Gegenden, bes. den Peloponnes; so finden sich D. in Ionien zwischen anderen Völkern, auf Euböa etc. Die in Doris bleibenden wurden dem Apollotempel zu Delphi als Frohnbauern unterworfen u. kamen dort als Kraugalliden noch lange vor.
