Fortebraccio (spr. Fortebratscho), Nicolo, Neffe des Braccio di Montone; Condottiere, folgte seinem Oheim im Oberbefehl, diente 1429 den Florentinern, trat dann in Dienste des Papstes Eugen IV., dem er aber 1433 den Krieg erklärte, u. hatte schon[434] einen Theil des Kirchenstaates erobert, als er, in der Schlacht von Capo di Monte verwundet, starb.
