Ramoth

Ramoth (a. Geogr.), eine der Leviten- u. Asyl-Städte (s. Asyl) im Stamm Gad, im Gebirg von Gilead; wurde den letzten Königen von Israel von dem König von Damask entrissen; hier blieb Ahab in einer Schlacht mit den Syrern.
