Rockbridge (spr. Rockbridsch), 1) Grafschaft im Staate Virginia (Nordamerika); 36 QM., vom North River, welcher hier in den James River fällt, u. vom Cedar Creek durchflossen; R. bildet einen Theil des großen fruchtbaren Thals im Nordwesten der Blue Ridge (Great Valley of Virginia genannt); Hauptproducte: Mais u. Hafer; der James-Kanal berührt den Süden der Grafschaft; 1778 organisirt; im Süden der Grafschaft liegt Natural Bridge of Rock (wovon die Grafschaft den Namen führt), eine natürliche aus einem Bogen von Kalkstein über eine unten 50 Fuß, oben 90 Fuß breite Kluft gebildete 215 Fuß hohe, 80 Fuß breite u. 93 Fuß lange Brücke, durch welche der Cedar Creek fließt u. über welche eine Straße führt; 1850: 16,045 Ew., worunter 4197 Sklaven; Hauptstadt: Lexington; 2) Hauptort der Grafschaft Ozark im Staate Missouri am Bryant's Fork des White River.
