Seidenindustrie; M. ist der Hauptmarkt für Baumwolle im ganzen Hindostan; 3) (M.-Chhota, d.i. das kleinere M.), Stadt im District M., an der Straße von Chunar nach Dinapoor, 2 Meilen von der vor., am rechten Gangesufer; 5000 Ew.; schön angebaute Umgegend.
